Head coach Ivo Krezo and captain Anel Radmilović addressed the media.
“Preparations for the EURO went as planned. Nermin Kahvedžić had a problem with the injury, but thanks to our medical team, he is ready and working normally with the rest of the team. We have a historic match ahead of us and we can’t wait for it to start”, said the head coach Krezo and continued:
“We have nothing to lose in tomorrow’s match. Spain is the favourite of this group and the European Championship. They have won the EURO seven times and the World Cup twice. All these facts speak enough about them and their strength. For us, the performance here will be a new experience and we will have to be brave, so we will see what it will bring us.”
Ivo Krezo also referred to the suspension of the first two goalkeepers Darko Milanović and Stanislav Galić, who will not be able to play against Spain due to red cards in the qualifiers:
“Their absence will be a problem for us, as well as the fact that goalkeeper Senad Poračanin stayed in Sarajevo due to the coronavirus. Tomorrow we can only count on Andrijan Dujmović who has a lot of experience. We have prepared him for this and we believe in his qualities.”
Captain Anel Radmilović stated:
“Preparations went well. We worked to the maximum and we prepared well for the tournament. The most important thing is that no one was injured and we are ready for the match. This morning we were tested again on COVID-19 and we are all negative. We can’t wait for the match to start and we’ll see what we can do.”
After the press conference, our national team players did the training session.
The match Spain-Bosnia and Herzegovina starts tomorrow at 17:30 h, while the second match of Group D Georgia-Azerbaijan is scheduled at 15:30 h.
