Alem Kadić, a former under-19 futsal player, has been called up to the senior team for the first time.
“It’s a huge honor for any player to wear the national team jersey. I proudly played for our U-19 team, and I’m especially happy about being called up to the senior team. My experience with the juniors will definitely help in the senior team, as I already understand what it means to wear the national crest, and I’m familiar with the principles and responsibilities expected in the national setup. This means a lot to me and I’m overjoyed with coach Goran Melher’s decision,” said Kadić, and reflected on the preparations: “Everything’s going great. We’re getting ready for the match against Spain, and the coaching staff has prepared a thorough analysis of our opponents. Everything’s at a high level, my teammates welcomed me perfectly, and it’s been easy to fit in. We’ll be ready for this game against a top team.”
On the upcoming opponent, Kadić says: “There’s not much to say about a team like Spain. It’s clear they’re one of the world’s best. I’m sure we’ll all give our best effort and, with support from the stands, try to achieve a positive result. For me, playing against such a team would be a huge experience in my career, and I can’t wait for the match on Tuesday.”
The match will be played on April 15 at 18:00 at the Husejin Smajlović sports arena in Zenica.
