Bosnia and Herzegovina had control on the pitch from the very beginning of the match. The 13th minute was played in when the Dragons managed to materialize a better game. The corner was taken by Vedad Subašić, and Slaven Ristić scored the leading goal from about 10 meters away. In the 20th minute, the defence of Azerbaijan made a mistake, which Bosnia and Herzegovina took advantage of and doubled the advantage in two moves. The goal was scored by Mario Kolobarić on a pass by Anel Spreča.
Our national team scored the third goal in the 31st minute, and the scorer was Srđan Čatić from 7-8 meters. Towards the end of the match, B&H started with the goalkeeper in the pitch with the goal of achieving the best possible goal difference, which Azerbaijan punished in the 38th minute through Shahbaz Handamill. However, a minute later, Alem Kadić scored the final 4:1 with a shot from 9-10 meters.
In the second match of this group, France defeated Greece 8:1. After two played rounds, France and Bosnia and Herzegovina have six points each, while Azerbaijan and Greece have no points.
In the next round, Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against France on Saturday, 25th March at 20:00 h, in a direct duel for the first place in the group and qualification for the European Championship.
