Although everyone took the loss in the first game hard, tonight’s atmosphere was much better thanks mostly to the children from the Tempo Sport football school, led by former BiH national team player Nermin Šabić.
Tempo Sport’s young players had the chance to play and hang out with the national team at the Husejin Smajlović sports arena in Zenica, bringing plenty of laughter and some impressive moves from the kids.
Din Šabić, one of the coaches at Tempo Sport, said it was a special experience for the kids: "First of all, thanks to the coach and the players for inviting us. This is definitely a special night for these boys, and I hope that one day some of them will be just as good as our national team players. It’s still early for them, but tonight’s training with the futsal team will surely stay in their memory and be a motivation to keep working."
Assistant coach Alen Lalić shared his thoughts on this unusual training session and the team’s recovery after the match in Belgium: "Spending time with the kids lifted our spirits to the maximum. I think this was needed because the players really enjoyed playing with the kids, and we all had a great time. We also had a series of individual talks today, and all of this helped the team mentally prepare for the next match against Belgium.
I’m sure that was just a bad day and we’ll play much better on Wednesday. I think the guys are ready, and we’ll get a good result since five goals in futsal isn’t a lot. I’ve experienced that throughout my career. Belgium’s a team that suits us, and I believe we can get a good result in the return leg."
