From the start, our team had better ball possession, but Switzerland’s defense held firm until the 12th minute when Miloš Radujković scored after an assist from Josip Sesar. Moments later, Josip Bošković doubled the lead. In the 16th minute, Miloš Todorić reacted best in front of goal to make it 3:0. Before halftime, Bošković struck again, followed by captain Srđan Ivanković, ending the first half at 5:0.
Switzerland tried using a flying goalkeeper in the second half to cut BiH’s lead, but was immediately punished as Sesar netted in the 21st for 6:0. The visitors managed to score in the 26th minute through Lanzendorfer; however a minute later, Todorić struck again for 7:1. In the 32nd, Amir Baručija added his name to the scoresheet, and just 20 seconds later, Davor Arnautović made it 9:1. The final goal came in the 36th minute via Faruk Brkanić.
In the next round, our team will visit Switzerland on March 6. The BiH team is now second in the group with six points, behind Spain and ahead of England and Switzerland.
