Futsal Dragons defeated by Spain, Bošković scored the historic goal

The futsal national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated tonight in the Martini Plaza in Groningen by Spain with the result 5:1 in their first match at the EURO 2022.

The Spaniards gain the advantage in the 3rd minute. After a good action, Mellado sent the ball to the second goalpost, where Raúl Gómez was alone, who had no trouble sending the ball into the net.

After the received goal, the BH team also had several attempts, and the best opportunity was missed by Marijo Aladžić in the 8th minute, when his shot was blocked by Borja on the goal-line.

In the 9th minute, Raúl Campos used a mistake of the BH national team’s defence and sent the ball behind the back of Andrijan Dujmović for 2:0.

Josip Bošković reduced the advantage of Spain in the 12th minute and scored the first goal for the futsal national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a major competition. Our national team player was persistent, and after two blocked shots, he managed to overcome the goalkeeper Didac Plana from the third attempt.

The third goal for Spain was scored by Sergio Lozano in the 18th minute after a great shot from distance.

At the opening of the second half, the Spaniards scored the fourth goal, and the scorer was Ortiz. The same player set the final score in the 37th minute.

In the second match of Group D, Georgia beat the national team of Azerbaijan 3:2. The second round is scheduled for 26th January, when Bosnia and Herzegovina-Georgia (17:30 h) and Spain-Azerbaijan (20:30 h) will play.
