The Bosnia and Herzegovina national futsal team has been together since Monday, preparing in a sports hall in East Sarajevo for the December qualifiers.
Head coach Goran Melher commented on the players' progress and a practice game: "I’m really satisfied with our players’ current form. Many of them are still not in competition mode, as the Premier League BiH has just started. However, preparations are going according to plan, and everything we’ve set out to do, we’ve accomplished so far.
These preparations have also helped us gel together as a team, and work on some tactical elements. Besides that, the players had the chance to fight for their place in the team. We had a practice match last night, and many players justified their call-up. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, which is why we’re here - to prepare as thoroughly as possible for the upcoming qualifiers. On November 4 and 5, we’ll host Azerbaijan in Zenica, which will be our final test before the qualifiers, with the first match against England at home on December 13."
In addition to England, BiH will face Spain and Switzerland in the Euro 2026 qualifiers.
