Futsal national team players defeated in Armenia

Futsal national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated in Yerevan by Armenia 3:2 in its third match of the qualifying Group 3 for the World Cup.

Vladimir Sanosyan in the 9th and 17th minute achieved goals for the domestic team, and the captain of the BH national team, Srdjan Ivanković, only 20 seconds after the second goal Armenia hit the net and set the final first half result.

In the continuation, Arthur Melkonyan first scored in the 27th minute for the third goal for Armenia, while Bilal Jelić set the final result of the match in the 31st minute. Although the statistical parameters were on the side of Ivo Krezo’s team which had 40 shots, compared to the opponent who had 17, the BH team was still defeated in this match.

Armenia finished the qualifications in the first place with a maximum of 12 points and qualified for the elite round, while our national team players remain a match with Czech for the second place in the group. Our next opponent has three points and, in the first match played in Brno, defeated the BH team with 4:2.

Four best-ranked teams from the main qualifying round will achieve a qualification for the elite round, while the remaining 8 teams will play through the play-off for another four places in the next phase of qualifications.

The match Bosnia and Herzegovina-Czech Republic is scheduled for 8th March at 18:00 h in East Sarajevo.
