Our team will face the formidable national teams of Venezuela, Italy, and Turkey. This marks the first campaign under the guidance of our new coaching staff for our premier futsal selection, led by coach Goran Melher. Assisting him will be coaches Mirsad Fazlinović and Perica Trifković, supported by fitness coach Josip Lekić.

“It’s a tremendous honor to take the role of head coach for the ‘A’ team. It’s the pinnacle of one's coaching career. I played for the national team with all my heart as well, and now in a new role, I’m ready to be fully committed to developing our futsal team,” said Melher.

Coach Melher commented on the roster: “We’re missing a few players due to club commitments. We want to introduce new strategies, and this initial gathering will show us how things work. In future meetings, we’ll provide opportunities to other players, and these tests will help us arrange everyting for the qualifiers in order to achieve the desired results. The national team is our priority, only those who commit to it with all their heart will play, and I have full confidence in the quality of our squad.”

When it comes to the opponents at the tournament, Goran Melher said: “Venezuela is one of the best South American teams. Italy needs no introduction; they are a world class futsal team. Turkey also has its qualities, but the fact is that in Poreč, we’ll encounter three different styles of futsal play. This will mean a lot to the team as we prepare for future official games.”

The players will gather on April 8^th in Međugorje, and the next day they will depart for Poreč.
