Goalkeeper Jasmin Kršić, who previously played for BiH's youth football teams, has joined our national futsal team for the first time at this gathering. He currently plays for Futsal Club Željezničar, and says the impressions from the preparations in Zenica are excellent.
"Coming here and working with top players and coaches is a dream come true. This is a huge privilege and honor, and I’d like to thank the head coach and his staff for the call-up. Now it’s up to me to prove myself, to justify their trust, and I hope I’ll continue to be part of our national team in the future. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the people from my club who’ve helped me a lot in my career - the management and sporting director Senad Kolić, as well as the coaches and my teammates. Without them, none of this would’ve been possible."
You played for BiH youth football teams. How much those experiences help you now in futsal?
"Those experiences are priceless, because they taught me what it means to wear the national jersey and how big a responsibility it is to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Of course, futsal is a different game - faster and more demanding in some segments - but the sense of belonging and the desire to give my best for the national team are the same."
What are your impressions from the first training sessions with the futsal team?
"Excellent. The team accepted me from day one as if I’d been here for a long time. The training sessions are intense and good, and working with the head coach and the other trainers means a lot to me. In futsal, the goalkeeper always has to be ‘in the game’ and involved in every action, so I’m working hard to adapt to all the requirements as quickly as possible."
What are your goals in the national team?
"My primary goal is to give my maximum in every training session and earn the coaching staff’s trust. I want to help the team in every way I can, learn from the more experienced teammates, and be ready when I get the chance. Of course, every player’s dream is to leave a mark and contribute to the national team’s victories."
