Head coach Goran Melher had an ambitious plan that included, among other things, the gradual introduction of new players into the national team roster.

"First of all, I’m happy that the Football Federation allowed us to have these preparations outside of official window. That means a lot to us because it shows we’re seriously committed to making the final step toward qualifying for the Euro. The guys performed very well, and some withdrawals gave us the opportunity to call up and test several new young players. I have to admit they more than justified those invitations, and now we have more depth with many more players competing for the first team," said Melher.

Players from champions “Bubamara” from Cazin missed this gathering, but the coach isn’t worried: "We have good cooperation and agreed they’d focus on preparations for the UEFA Futsal Champions League Preliminary Round tournament. I honestly wish them to qualify for the main round, and I’m sure they’ll come to the playoffs ready, in top form, and motivated for new victories."
