Head coach Mirko Čampara has invited the following players for this event: Mijo Brzica (Brotnjo), Vuk Lakić (Tango), Marko Antunović (Akademac Trebinje), Ahmed Brkanović (Željezničar), Emir Mustafić (Željezničar), Aid Salčinović (Sloboda Kompred), Bojan Medan (Akademac Trebinje), Bekir Arnaut (Željezničar), Alessandro Lokmer (Željezničar), Bećir Gušić (Željezničar), Josip Šarac (Brotnjo), Kenan Azabagić (Sloboda Kompred), Marko Jurkić (Seljak Livno), Ognjen Marković (Jahorina), Bilal Topalović (Željezničar), and Ivan Zelenika (Hercegovina).
Regarding the camp, Čampara said: “This is our first gathering since the appointment of the new coaching staff. With qualifications starting in March, we don’t have much time. My assistants and I have been in contact with coaches from the BiH Premier U-19 League, following matches closely. We’ve also visited clubs and observed their training processes. All this has helped us compile this list of players for the initial training camp.”
He added: “We hope to organize two more camps before the qualifiers, which should be enough to prepare the team for the challenges in March. There’s a lot of work ahead. We plan to visit more clubs and evaluate players from areas without under-19 leagues but who play for senior teams. In the coming period, we’ll focus on more players, but for now, we’ve selected these 16, who are currently in top form and have performed well in recent matches.”
The team will gather at the Hills hotel in Ilidža. Over the five-day camp, they’ll conduct seven training sessions and play a practice match at the sports hall in East Sarajevo.
