We are ready to open the qualifications with a victory

The futsal national team players of Bosnia and Herzegovina are preparing in Zenica for the EURO 2022 qualifier match with Northern Macedonia.

Head coach Ivo Krezo is satisfied with the work of the players:

“I would like to praise the guys for their commitment and good work. Everything is going according to plan for now. The players are ready and in good shape, so we can be satisfied with that as well. We are not running away from the role of favourites in the upcoming match. We know the opponent well, because we met earlier. We want to prepare well for the match and open this qualifying cycle with a victory.”

After the match with Northern Macedonia, our futsal national team will meet Serbia in Novi Sad, and the head coach also referred to that match:

“They are the first favourite of this group and they qualified for the World Cup. It is a team that is of exceptional quality, and we will do our best to play as well as possible, because a point would suit us in that match.”

Captain Anel Radmilović stated:

“We are preparing well and we are entering the new qualifications very motivated. I think that we got an appropriate group and that we have a great opportunity to qualify for the European Championship. We train at a strong pace; we are all healthy and ready. It can be seen that the clubs are doing well and we came to this gathering in good shape. We don’t have any injuries either and if we have a serious approach in all the matches, we can make a huge success. The first obstacle is Northern Macedonia. On paper, we are favourites, but that means nothing, if we are not at the highest level. We want to win three points before a difficult away match with Serbia.”

National team player Srđan Ivanković expects victory:

“We are all in a good mood and healthy, which is the most important thing. In these qualifications, we have perhaps the most favourable group and the opportunity to qualify for the big competition. The first match with Northern Macedonia is very important to us and three points in the opening of the qualifications would mean a lot to us. We know them well, because we played often. I think that individual quality is on our side. They are known for their fast game and good defence. It will not be easy, but I believe we will win.”

The match Bosnia and Herzegovina-Northern Macedonia is scheduled for 28th January at 18:00 h in the “Husejin Smajlović” Arena in Zenica.
