Teams participants of the Group 11 qualifying tournament for the European U-19 Championships, France, Georgia, Andorra and Bosnia and Herzegovina, made the final preparations for the matches that they will play tomorrow both in the Ethno Village Stanišići and Ugljevik.
The assistant coach of the BH U-19 team, Saša Krupljanin, says about the preparation period:
“We realised everything what we planned. We had some problems, because we were complete only at last three trainings sessions due to the players’ obligations toward their clubs. However, I think we did a good job, analysed opponents and now we are ready for the tournament.”
Krupjanin appreciates tomorrow's opponent:
“Georgia is a quality team, but I believe we will achieve a good result and start qualifications with a victory. They play good and offensive football; they look for a good game at all costs. I think we have good players in the attack, who can endanger the slightly slower defence of the Georgian team.”
The expert from Gradiška expects to qualify to the elite qualification round:
“All teams have quality, especially France and Georgia. With due respect to the Andorra team, I think that they are still a step behind the other teams in the group. So, between the French, the Georgians and us, two passengers to the elite qualification round will be looked for, and we expect our team to be successful.”
The Georgian head coach, George Kipiani, is also optimistic ahead of the tournament:
“We worked well during the preparatory period. We also had a strong match against Finland and I am pleased how the team responded to the tasks. Each match carries its weight and this will be a great experience for these young players who are preparing for professional football in the future. We will do our best in all matches and I hope that we will go to the next qualifying stage.”
