Over the past two days, FFBiH organized three events in different towns across the country.
The Grassroots Cup, held in cooperation with FK Radnički Lukavac, took place on October 2 at Jošik stadium. The event brought together a large number of boys and girls of primary school age from the wider city area. The Grassroots Cup in Lukavac unfolded in a great atmosphere, promoting equality, team spirit and love for football among the youngest.
On the same day in East Sarajevo, a football festival for boys and girls was organized in cooperation with FK Famos Vojkovići and ŠF Tango. A large number of children took part in fun games and age-appropriate matches. Through shared play, kids developed their football skills, with a special focus on friendship, fair play and love for the game. The festival was held in a joyful atmosphere, with coaches encouraging the children to have fun and enjoy football.
Trebinje also hosted an event yesterday. In the sports hall of St. Vasilije Ostroški Elementary School, FFBiH and ŽFK Leotar, gathered a large group of girls who had the chance to take their first football steps through play, fun and socializing. Through various games and obstacle courses, the girls developed their skills, learned the basics of football and, most importantly, made new friends. A special highlight was the participation of UEFA Playmakers program attendees from all three elementary schools in town, which added extra value and depth to the event.
By staging these events, the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to promote the core values of grassroots football - accessibility, inclusion, unity and the joy of the game, laying the foundation for the development of young generations and expanding the football family across the country.
As part of UEFA Grassroots Week, events have also been held in Mostar, Teslić, Posušje, Cazin, Prijedor, Fojnica and Gradiška.
