FFBiH senior associate for women’s football development, Ivana Vlaić, emphasized the importance of these competitions: "Regional leagues for girls are the foundation for the progress of women’s football in our country. We’re glad to see the number of teams and regions grow each year because it means more and more girls are getting the chance to step into football, to train and develop through organized competitions. That’s our main goal – to build a stable and high-quality system that’ll produce new generations of female players in the future."
These leagues represent an important step in the development of women’s football in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as they provide girls with the opportunity for regular competition, experience-building, and further affirmation in the sport.
