14 teams participated in the tournament: Krivaja Zavidovići, Inter Posušje, Vogošća, Posavina Domaljevac, SFK 2000 Sarajevo, Sloboda Tuzla, Fortuna Živinice, BAAP Sportivo Sarajevo, Sloga Prijedor, Mladost Laktaši, Radnik Bijeljina, Željezničar Bosanska Krupa, Lokomotiva Brčko and SF Respekt Sarajevo.
Today’s activity was accompanied, among others, by the head coaches of the women’s U-19 and U-17 national teams, Dragan Jevtić and Ilija Lucić, as well as the coaches in our women’s national teams, Milorad Ilišković and Vesna Njeguš.
“Today we sent a beautiful picture from Zenica. We can say that for these young female football players, this is like a showcase, because we rarely have the opportunity to see players of this age in one place in action. It would be great if tournaments like this were held at the local level as well. Today, there are 14 clubs here, and we hope that in the future these tournaments will be even more massive”, said Ilija Lucić.
Milorad Ilišković also has positive impressions from the tournament:
“A wonderful event and another step forward for women’s football in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For a long time now, all of us who have been involved in the work of women’s football have been supporting the organization of tournaments of this nature. It will certainly enable us in the coming period to have a better insight into the quality we have at the youngest ages, which will help us to improve our work in both clubs and national teams. In addition, in this way we create a better environment for girls for further development.”
Besides the results, in the foreground were socializing and fun, and all the players received medals for participating in today’s event.
