The BH U-17 women’s team better than Montenegro

Today, the U-17 women’s team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won in a friendly match their peers from Montenegro with 2:1 at the FF BH Training Centre in Zenica,.

There were not many opportunities in the first half. The first attempt was made by the selected players of Ilija Lucić in the 24th minute, when the shot of Elma Husić from twenty meters was thrown into the corner by Milica Knežević. Jelena Karličić similarly tried on the other side in the 28th minute, but the BH goalkeeper, Imam Šljivo, caught the ball.

The BH team of comes to an advantage in the 54th minute. After a corner and in the crowd in the Montenegrin penalty area, Dušica Lukić reacts the best and sends the ball from a distance of about 10 meters into the goal for 1:0.

Irma Jusanović made a good effort from the distance in the 66th minute, but the ball went just beside the goal.

Fadila Mujkić, after assistance of Selma Hasić in the 72nd minute, doubles the advantage of our team.

In the first minute of the additional time, Ana Knežević goes on to the right and reduces the advantage of the BH team with a precise shot.

After the match, the head coach of the BH U-17 team, Ilija Lucić, stated: “I congratulate the players on their victory. They fulfilled everything we agreed. It was a good and interesting game. The opponent was according to our measure, and we were looking for a team that could give us a strong resistance, because we are preparing for the elite round of qualifications. There will be the second match, in which we will be stronger with Andrea Gavrić and Ena Taslidža. We will be ready for the qualifying tournament in Bijeljina.”

The same teams will play their second match at the Zenica Training Camp on Wednesday, 14th March, at 10:00 h.
