This story is also confirmed by Gloria Slišković, a talented football player who led the BH female cadets at the European Championships with a captain’s armband:
“Great experience, both for me and for the whole team. Playing at the EURO against the strongest national teams of this age will certainly contribute a lot to our development. We could certainly learn a lot from those matches and learn a lesson. We are happy, because we had the opportunity to be a part of an event like this.”
Slišković also referred to the match of the third round with Germany:
“As for that game, we knew the opponent well, because we had already met in the qualifiers. We also knew that they were the favourites of the group, but also of the entire European Championship. After the second match with Denmark, we gained a lot of experience playing such difficult matches, and we were much better in that third match against Germany. We did our best and I think we offered good resistance to a very strong national team.
Gloria Slišković did not remain indifferent to the support that our team had from the fans:
“The atmosphere in the stands was phenomenal throughout all three matches. Of course, the support from the stands means a lot to us, which we announced before the start of the tournament. On behalf of the whole team, I want to thank everyone who came and supported us.”
