Support for the coaching staff and players came from FFBiH president Vico Zeljković and the Federation’s senior leadership.
Before training, a press conference was held where head coach Sergej Barbarez and Adrian Leon Barišić addressed the media.
When asked about player form, Barbarez said: "I already said at the start that I’m more than satisfied with the form and output of our players in their clubs, even in the scoring department. We had seven or eight players who scored last weekend. That certainly puts a smile on my face. Preparations are going well, sometimes even too well, and that can lure you into optimism. That’s who I am, and that’s our mindset to be mindful about these things. My job is to deal with every match. We’ve got our plans and ideas, and hopefully they’ll bear fruit. Let’s leave a surprise for tomorrow. Without three points tomorrow, Tuesday’s match won’t matter that much."
The stadiums in San Marino and Zenica are sold out. Fans are once again believing in the team – what message do you have for them?
"I’m glad we’ve regained that emotional connection where we fill the stadium. People who love this country and the team recognize our path. It’s always on us – what we show on the pitch translates directly to the supporters," concluded Barbarez.
Adrian Leon Barišić added: "I feel good, we’ve trained well, and we’re ready for the match against San Marino. The first match against them was tricky, but this time we’ve got no excuses. I think the June date was a problem since that period can be tough. You all saw the heat we played in. We learned our lesson, got the three points, and I believe tomorrow will look a lot better."
San Marino–Bosnia and Herzegovina will be played tomorrow at 20:45 in Serravalle.
