Coach Sergej Barbarez stated: " We’re definitely excited and eager to play, spend time together, and work as a team. Regardless of the group’s composition, we have clear plans and objectives. We’ve accomplished a lot in these past three to four months. As you know, every match is unique and shapes our tactics, strategy, and vision. Our goal is to raise our expectations to a higher level, both in terms of results and gameplay. We want to continue building this team while keeping track of players’ form and roles in their respective clubs. After these six matches, we’ve gained a clearer picture of our team - who we can rely on more and who we can rely on less. Some may be dissatisfied with their club situations, but the national team is a different story - it’s about pride and commitment. What matters is that players arrive with a smile and are eager to compete."
Director Emir Spahić addressed the issue of acquiring BiH citizenship for Brentford player Vitaly Janelt: "It’s true that Vitaly is now close to obtaining Bosnian citizenship, and we expect to finalize everything within the next seven days. I'd like to thank everyone who worked with us tirelessly, especially the ministries responsible for these matters. They supported us, worked on this daily, even on the weekends, in order to gather the necessary documents. Of course, this doesn’t guarantee FIFA’s approval for his nationality switch, but we’ll do everything on our end to ensure the outcome is in our favor."
The national team will gather in Sarajevo on Monday to prepare for the World Cup qualifiers against Romania and Cyprus.
