Barbarez and Šunjić Ahead of the Cyprus Match

Bosnia and Herzegovina's national "A" team held a press conference today at FFBiH headquarters in Sarajevo ahead of the upcoming qualifier against Cyprus. Speaking to the media were head coach Sergej Barbarez and national team player Ivan Šunjić.

Barbarez stated: "To be fair, we've only won one match so far. Of course, it was a great victory, but what impressed me more was our approach and attitude against Romania. However, without a strong performance tomorrow, that win means nothing. On paper, we're favorites, but I don't like using that word. Romania were favorites, and they lost. Naturally, we're going for the win, but no match is won or lost before kickoff."

Šunjić added: "Winning that match was really important, but we shouldn't get too high after victories, nor should we fall too low after defeats. It's not just a cliché; you really have to take it game by game. The key tomorrow is to replicate the team effort we showed against Romania. Only with that level of commitment and determination we have a chance for success."

The team will hold a training session today at 16:00 at FK Sarajevo's Training Center in Butmir.
