Just four minutes later, Loizos Loizou tried from distance, but the ball went wide of the left post. Cyprus kept pressing, and in the 17th minute, Kakoulli threatened again, only for Vasilj to pull off another superb stop.
BiH took the lead in the 22nd minute. Haris Hajradinović swung in a free kick from the left, and Demirović escaped his marker at the far post, sending the ball into a goal for 1:0. The pressure paid off in the 57th minute - Samed Baždar’s powerful strike was parried by Mall, but Hajradinović was quick to capitalize on the rebound, making it 2:1. Late on, Hajradinović played a perfect through-ball to Baždar in 86', who was one-on-one with Mall, but the keeper denied him with another fantastic save.
