The first chance came in the 8’ when Edin Džeko shot over the bar. Five minutes later, Kerim Alajbegović broke free down the left and found Džeko, whose shot from ten meters went wide. In the 16’, Alessandro Golinucci fouled Alajbegović as the last man in defense and was shown a straight red card by referee Enea Jorgji. Tahirović struck precisely in the 21’ to give our team the lead. After a quieter period, Nicola Nanni shot from 20 meters in the 42’, but Nikola Vasilj saved brilliantly.

In the 70’, Amar Memić broke down the right and crossed perfectly for Džeko, who doubled the lead at 2:0. Just two minutes later, Bajraktarević teed up Džeko, who delivered from outside the box for 3:0. In the 81’, Samed Baždar intercepted a poor pass from San Marino’s defense and scored for 4:0.
