Fuad Muzurović was a head coach of our national team in 2007, when Misimović took the captain’s tape in Osijek in the qualifying match for EURO 2008 with Norway, and Ibišević recorded his first appearance for our “A” national team.

Muzurović recalled that period and said:

“I am extremely pleased to be a head coach for such two players as Misimović and Ibišević, who marked one of our football’s eras. I regret I did not cooperate with Spahić. These are players whose contribution to the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is immeasurable and they will always be remembered by all who are national team in their hearts. Thank you very much for everything they did for the BH football and I want them to be equally successful in continuing their professional career, whatever they decide to do.”

This experienced expert added:

“All of them were exceptional players, and we will always remember the night in Kaunas, when Ibišević scored a goal against Lithuania, which took us to the Mundial. I was in that match as a radio commentator and we were all happy to finally be in the FIFA World Cup.”
