National team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is visiting Italy in June

After the scheduled friendly match with England in June of this year, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will visit another giant of world football in the same month.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation and the Football Association of Italy (FIGC) reached an agreement on playing a friendly match between their “A” national teams.

The match will be played on 8th June at the Carlo Castellani Stadium in Empoli.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has played with Italy five times so far. In the matches with the Azuri, the Dragons achieved one win and a draw, and three losses. The previous 5 matches were played in five different stadiums: “Asim Ferhatović Hase” (Sarajevo), “Juventus” (Turin), “Bilino Polje” (Zenica), “Artemio Franchi” (Florence) and “Grbavica” (Sarajevo).

In a friendly match played at “Koševo” in 1996, the BH team won 2:1, and in the qualifiers for EURO 2020 Italy achieved two victories (2:1 and 3:0). In the 2020 UEFA Nations League matches, the first match in Florence ended in a 1:1 draw, while Italy won 2:0 at “Grbavica”.
