At the press conference after the match with Ukraine, the head coach Ivaylo Petev stated, among other things:

“We can be satisfied with how the guys played today. They had the desire, they fought and I don’t think we deserved to lose 2:0. There were mistakes, and on the other hand, Ukraine is a very quality team. We also had our chances, which we did not use, but we can be satisfied with the approach.”

Petev also added:

“Today, we wanted to give an opportunity to players who have had fewer playing minutes so far. Let’s see how much they can and have a picture of whom we can count on it in the future.”
