Prosinečki read the names of the players and said:
“On 23rd May, we start preparations for these matches that may come at a bad time, as it is the end of the season and the players had played a lot of matches. However, this is the FIFA date and we will use it. Unfortunately, Sead Kolašinac, who was injured, will not be with us at this gathering, but the others are healthy and I hope that they are ready for two matches that are ahead of us.”
The head coach was asked by the journalist to comment on the invitation for the players from the BH Telecom Premier League, so he said:
“We invite those players for whom my technical staff and I estimate that they are high quality; we are not interested in whether they are from the Premier League or any other. I hope that there will be more players to be imposed. These ones made a good result with the U-21 team and we believe that they are a future of the BH football. So, who is good on the pitch, he will deserve an invitation to the “A” national team. There are Zakarić, Pirić and Sarić who were also with us before. Todorović, Lončar, as well as Ćivić who is not from the domestic championship, showed themselves in the U-21 team as talented players.”
Media representatives were also addressed by the FF BH Director of Sports Sector, Elmir Pilav, who spoke about the preparation plan for the “A” national team:
“The players will gather at the “Austria & Bosnia Ilidža” Hotel on 23rd August. The same evening, the FF BH will organize in Ilidža the manifestation of the Best Players of the Competitions that are under the auspices of the Federation. During the preparations in Sarajevo, the players will have one training session at the FK Sarajevo Training Camp in Butmir on 24th May, and a day later there will be a training match with FAMOS in Hrasnica. After that, the team moves to Zenica where they will stay until the match with Montenegro. 10,000 tickets were printed for this match, and they will be released for selling at the Centrotrans branch offices on Saturday, the 19th of this month. We also call fans to support us, because the match with Montenegro is significant for two reasons. The first one is a farewell of the three great players of our national team, and the second one is that the head coach Prosinečki will debut in front of the domestic audience.”
The national team players will gather on 23rd May in Ilidža, where they will attend the event of the Elections of the Best Individuals of the FF BH Leagues Competitions at the “Austria & Bosnia Ilidža” Hotel on the same day starting at 19:30 h.
