The young midfielder of FK Sarajevo passed all youth national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina and does not hide his enthusiasm for the invitation to the senior team:
“First impressions are really great. Everything is at a very high level and I am happy to be here. I worked hard throughout the season and that effort has now been rewarded. The invitation to the national team is an indicator that with an honest attitude towards what you do and love, even the highest goals can be fulfilled. It is now up to me to justify the trust of the head coach and his technical staff. I am ready to show myself in the best light, so that I can be part of the national team in the future as well.”
Although the season is over, Đokanović points out that he is in good shape:
“It is true that the championship is at the very end and that we are all a little tired in this period. However, no one thinks about it when comes to the national team gathering. That in itself is a motive and no amount of fatigue can stop us from doing our best. As for me, I am ready and if I get playing minutes in the upcoming matches, I will try to use them in the best way.”
Andrej Đokanović says about the upcoming matches:
“In front of us, younger players, is a great opportunity to impose ourselves and show what we know. Opponents are tailor-made and I look forward to matches with Montenegro and Denmark. Regardless of the fact that these are friendly matches, I believe that they will be interesting and of high quality. We are motivated to show our best and I expect positive results.”
Andrej Đokanović was born on 1st March 2001 and is the youngest player on Ivaylo Petev’s list for matches with Montenegro and Denmark.
