We do not divide matches into friendly and official ones, they are all equally important to us

Today’s gathering at the BH FF Training Centre in Zenica began preparations of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina for friendly matches with Georgia and Luxembourg.

On the eve of the first training session, the media representatives were addressed by the head coach Ivaylo Petev and the national team player Eldar Ćivić.

“We are entering a new cycle with these two friendly matches. It doesn’t matter to us whether they are friendly or qualifying, we enter every match trying to be better and to progress. I hope we will play well. I will ask the players for maximum commitment and I expect that we will get a lot of positive things out of these matches”, Petev said and continued:

“There are 90 percent of players who were here last year. This is another indicator that we do not divide matches into friendly and qualifying matches, but that everything is important to us. I think that there are those who deserve to be in the national team the most. Georgia and Luxembourg have made a lot of progress in recent years and we have to play these two matches seriously.”

The head coach also referred to the playing staff:

“Kenan Pirić will not come from the invited players due to family reasons. Unfortunately, Sanjin Prcić got injured in the last match, so we won’t be able to count on him either. Siniša Saničanin and Anel Ahmedhodžić will join us tomorrow.”

Eldar Ćivić stated:

“We are expecting matches against teams that have quality. We came here to do our best and start a series of victories. The head coach invited the strongest team, because we want to use these matches to play as well as possible. Of course, we are seriously entering the upcoming matches and we are ready to give our best.”

The national team will do one training session today.
