The match was also watched by the head coach of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faruk Hadžibegić. The first half saw an even and dynamic game with several attempts on both sides, but the nets were still. The best opportunity was missed by Sloboda players in the 43rd minute when Amar Pekarić crossed from a free kick, and Danis Bratović’s header was stopped by Sarajevo goalkeeper Arman Šutković.
A similar game was seen in the continuation. Pekarić had a good chance for Tuzla in the 67th minute when he diagonally shot from the right side, and Šutković was up to the task once again. Sarajevo retaliated in the 77th minute through Talha Tabaković, whose strong shot from distance missed the target. Aldin Mešić had an excellent opportunity for Sloboda in the 82nd minute, but Šutković once again made a great intervention.
Sarajevo took the lead in the 87th minute. Talha Tabaković received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and shot accurately for his team’s victory.
Sarajevo’s juniors head coach, Danijel Stojanović, said after the match:
“I congratulate my boys on winning the Cup. It was not easy, because we played against an excellent team that deservedly reached the final. Today’s match could have gone either way, perhaps it would have been more realistic, if it had remained 0:0. We had a lot of matches where we conceded a goal at the end, now we scored it in the most important match. Let’s move on, our goal is a double crown and I hope we will achieve it.”
Cups and medals were presented to the finalists and officials by the BH FF general secretary, Adnan Džemidžić, and the chairman of the Competition Committee, Ivan Frljić.
