This year, Children’s Day is special, because it coincides with the start of the FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.
On 20th November, 33 years ago, world leaders signed the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Precisely on the occasion of this anniversary, which is celebrated as International Children’s Day, football players and children at all matches of the 19th round of the m:tel Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina come out in shirts with the colours of UNICEF and send a message that regardless of which team they represent, where they come from, what colour their jerseys are, we must be united.
Also, on the LED banners during the matches, UNICEF messages related to children’s rights are broadcast. Football is a game that unites us and when it comes to children’s rights, there can only be one team.
