12th Round of the BiH Women's Premier League

The spring part of the 2024/25 Premier Women’s League of Bosnia and Herzegovina kicks off this weekend with the 12th-round duels.

The derby match will take place in Mostar, where second-placed Emina will host league leaders SFK 2000 Sarajevo at the auxiliary pitch of the Rođeni stadium. It's scheduled for Sunday, March 9, at 15:30.

Emina's head coach, Zijo Tojaga, commented on the upcoming match: "We're up against a very strong opponent who, given their results and experience, is rightfully the favorite. They possess continuity, depth, and individual quality that deserves respect. Still, we believe in our work and the process we’re building each day. We know what we're capable of, and we certainly won’t step onto the pitch just to defend - we're here to compete and show all the effort we've put in. I expect a fierce, tactically engaging match and believe we’ll present ourselves in the best light."

Emina's captain, Elma Husić, also expects a tough game: "We’re opening the second half of the season at home against SFK 2000. Like our previous engagements, these 'derby' games always bring a certain thrill, so we can surely expect a strong and competitive performance on both sides. After three friendlies, I can say we’re really happy with our preparations - we focused on improving our physical readiness and refining certain aspects of our game. We’re fully motivated and ready to start this half of the season in the best possible way. I invite all women's football fans to support us at the Rođeni stadium in Vrapčići."

SFK 2000 Sarajevo’s head coach, Samira Hurem, said: "After a long break and a well-executed preparation period, we’re excited to continue the season. We’re especially pleased that our first match is against a strong opponent like Emina, as these are the kinds of games our league needs."

Team captain Alisa Spahić shares a similar view: "We worked really hard during the winter break and can’t wait for the league to resume. Matches against Emina are always good and exciting, so we invite everyone to watch Sunday’s game. Our goal, as always, is victory."

Another match will be played on Sunday: Libero will face Leotar at the Midhat Drljević stadium in Goražde, starting at 15:00 hours.

The Radnik Bumerang vs. Iskra match has been postponed, while Sloboda Tuzla is free this round.
