In the derby of the round on Sunday, September 21 at 19:00 at the “Police” Stadium in Trebinje, Leotar will host Emina.
Leotar’s head coach, Jelena Milović, expects an exciting match:
“Ahead of us is an extremely demanding game, both for us and for the Emina team, I’m sure of it. Previous encounters have been thrilling until the final whistle, so I expect the same this time. This match rightly carries the title of a derby, and I believe the spectators will have the chance to enjoy some quality football. I especially want to emphasize that this is a historic moment for us, as we will be playing under floodlights in our city for the very first time. That is why I expect sports fans not to miss this event, which truly deserves attention.”
Leotar goalkeeper Jovana Žugić is calling on fans to support the team:
“A new challenge is ahead of us – in the next round we will face ŽNK Emina from Mostar. It will certainly be a tough and hard-fought match against a well-known opponent. We are preparing diligently for this game, and I believe we will put up a strong fight and give our maximum on the pitch. I invite as many fans as possible to join us in this historic moment for our club, to give us their support with their presence and make this match even more special.”
Emina’s head coach, Zijo Tojaga, gave his thoughts before the game:
“We are expecting a duel against ŽFK Leotar, a young and fighting team that shows great desire and motivation to prove themselves on the pitch. This will be a special occasion, as it is the first women’s football match under floodlights in Trebinje, which is an additional motivation for both teams. Our team works hard in training, and I am confident that thanks to our commitment, teamwork, and discipline, we will achieve a positive result in this match. The girls are ready to give their all and show character. I invite all fans and football lovers to come in great numbers, to support the girls and together enjoy this celebration of women’s football.”
Emina’s captain, Elma Husić, added:
“Matches against Leotar are always interesting and full of uncertainty. On Sunday, we expect a quality and hard-fought game from both sides. With the right approach, effort on the pitch, and full focus, I believe in my team and that we will bring three points back to Mostar.”
