The match took place in a great atmosphere in a nearly full Husejin Smajlović arena. After the first twenty minutes, the visitors had a two-goal lead, although our team played bravely and had numerous opportunities to score. Spain proved more efficient, with goals from Sergio Gonzales (2'), Daniel Gabriel Garcia (11') and Adrian Rivera (11'), while the first goal for the BiH team came from Adnan Kalajdžić in the 13'. In the second half, the home team narrowed Spain's lead via Faruk Brkanić in the 29', setting the final score.
The Dragons finished second in the group with 12 points and qualified for the European Championship playoffs, scheduled for September this year. Spain took first place with 18 points and qualified directly for Euro, while England and Switzerland ended in third and fourth place.
