Head coach Mirko Čampara and his associates used this gathering to assess the players’ current form and determine who can be relied upon in the future: "We’ve held six training sessions and played a practice game. The conditions for the camp were excellent, and we thank FFBiH for that. Unfortunately, we had two injuries during the camp. The players we selected for this event, based on their performances at their clubs, met expectations, and I believe we’ve made a good choices.
In the coming period, we’ll test more players to have a clear picture of whom we can count on for the qualifiers in March. There’s still room for improvement, and we’ll work with clubs to bring the players’ fitness to an adequate level. That’s perhaps our biggest challenge, but we’ve got the talent and heart. We need to establish a system to qualify for a major tournament in the near future."
Čampara expressed satisfaction with the players’ commitment: “Their behavior, effort in training, and commitment toward the national team were outstanding, and I congratulate them on that. We also conducted anthropological testing, and once we have the results, we’ll have a better understanding of their fitness levels, which will guide us moving forward.”
The under-19 team will participate in the main round of Euro 2025 qualifiers in March.
