The project “Girls Football Coaching Course” includes the education of female coaches, as well as the development of grassroots football for girls from 7 to 12 years of age.
Coaches attended lectures about children’s football, the role of coaches, and how to organize coaching activities with quality. In addition to theory, several sessions of practical work with children on the pitch were also organized for the coaches.
The aim of the course is to encourage as many young girls as possible to play football and the BH FF, with the support of the FA Norway, is trying to educate the coaches and present them with various activities related to working with the youngest ages.
The BH FF senior expert associate for grassroots football, Ivana Vlaić, said about this seminar:
“This is already the fourth generation of female coaches, participants of the course that we organize together with the Football Association of Norway. We all know that women’s football in that country is very popular and organized at a very high level, and their experience in working with the youngest age groups means a lot to us. Our promising female coaches had something to learn and it will help them a lot in their further work. Also, our Federation continues to invest in women’s football in this way, which is a trend that has lasted for many years and will certainly continue in the future.”
On the third day of the seminar, a festival was held, in which girls from primary schools “Skender Kulenović” and “Mak Dizdar” from Zenica, “Behaudin Selmanović” and “Hasan Kaimija” from Sarajevo and from FK Respekt participated.
On this occasion, there was a visit of the ambassador of Norway to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Olav Reinertsen, to whom the manager of the Training Centre, Sanja Kovač, presented appropriate gifts.
The BH FF Training Centre once again proved to be an excellent host of the seminar, where all participants had excellent working conditions, in which the FA Norway representatives and the coaches attending the course agreed.
