President of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation, Vico Zeljković, and representatives of FIFA signed an agreement today in Sarajevo within the framework of the FIFA Arena project, which provides for the construction of three mini football pitches in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On behalf of FIFA, the agreement was signed by Director Member Associations Europe Elkhan Mammadov, while on behalf of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation the signatories were President Vico Zeljković and General Secretary Adnan Džemidžić.
According to the standard project model, European football associations are usually allocated two pitches each. However, following discussions and coordination between representatives of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation and FIFA, the construction of three mini football pitches in Bosnia and Herzegovina was approved.
The pitches are scheduled to be completed in September this year, and the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, will visit the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation for the official opening ceremony.
This project represents a continuation of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation strategy aimed at improving conditions for playing football.
