Organized by the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the seminar for BiH Women's Premier League referees is being held at the FFBIH training center in Zenica. In addition to the referees from our elite championship, ten of their younger colleagues from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina also got the chance to attend these useful educational programs in Zenica.
The workshop is lead by FIFA instructor Lada Rojc from Croatia, former football player and referee, who said:
"FIFA usually sends its instructors, which there are seven in Europe including me, to various seminars organized by the national football associations. In that regard, I've been here in Zenica since Sunday to educate female referees from Bosnia and Herzegovina. We're going through a variety of topics and latest regulations, everything what it takes to lead a good football match.
I took this opportunity to get acquainted with female referees in BiH, and I see they are willing and working hard to succeed in this line of work. FFBIH is investing a lot in them, and I believe that refereeing quality in this region is only going to be better."
Rojc has worked at all major competitions, but one game stands out as the most important in her career: "2009 European Championship finals between Germany and England is my favorite game I arbitrated. I've done a good job, everyone was happy, and it remained in my memory."
The seminar began on March 12th and will last until Thursday, March 16th. Some of the topics covered during the course include: "Tactical errors", "Team work", "Ground work", "Positioning", "Advantage", "Offside", "Diving" and so on. The attendees analyzed the refereeing in the autumn portion of the championship as well, and performed a fitness test today.
