The German national team became the European champion for the eighth time. After 13 days and 16 matches, it is the epilogue of the European Championship for female cadets, which was held in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the final, which was played at the Grbavica Stadium in front of about 1500 spectators, we saw a great match that justified all the expectations we had at the beginning, and the winner was decided only after the penalty kicks. The hero of the final is the goalkeeper Eva Boettcher, who defended even three shots from the “white spot”.

In the match for the third place at the European Championship for female cadets, the national team of France had more success, winning 2:0. In addition to the bronze medals, the winners also secured a place at the World Championships to be held in India in October.

A press conference of the UEFA WU-17 EURO 2022 finalists was held today at the Hills Hotel in Ilidža.

The match that Germany and Spain will be played on Sunday night at the Grbavica Stadium in Sarajevo at 20:00 h in the fight for the European Champions Trophy will be their sixth meeting in the finals of the European Female Cadet Championship. Germany will have the opportunity to defend the title of European champion from 2019 and reach the eighth title in 13 championships played so far, while Spain will try to reach the fifth triumph.
