A large number of fans, especially the youngest ones, filled the stadium's east stand, creating a wonderful atmosphere as the Dragons were sent off to the World Cup. The players greeted supporters, posed for photos, and signed autographs.
After training, head coach Sergej Barbarez spoke to the media and, among other things, reflected on the preparations so far: "The basic idea was to spend the first part of our preparations in our country, play one match, and hold one public training session. In that way, we wanted to give people a chance to feel closer to the team. Interest in the team has really become huge. We're enjoying these moments and we're pleased that the country and the fans have recognized our work and are supporting us."
With today's session, the national team completed the Sarajevo phase of preparations and will depart for St. Louis tomorrow morning, where they will play a friendly match against Panama on June 6.
