Futsal national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina qualified for the European Championship!

The futsal national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina has achieved historic success and qualified for the European Championship for the first time, which will be held in the Netherlands in January 2022.

The team of Ivo Krezo defeated Romania 5:0 in Zenica tonight in the fourth round of qualifying group 4, thus securing a place in the big competition.

The first 15 minutes passed in an even game without too many chances. Good attempt for the BH team had captain Anel Radmilović in the 15th minute, but his shot from a distance was defended by goalkeeper Toni Toniţa. Three minutes later, after the pass of Davor Arnautović, Srđan Ivanković scored a goal from ten meters for 1:0. At the end of the first half, Nermin Kahvedžić and Davor Arnautović had chances, but Toniţa defended their shots.

Already in the first minute of the second half, Nermin Kahvedžić doubled the advantage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Anel Radmilović increased the lead to 3:0 in the 25th minute, when he bypassed the opponent’s goalkeeper and sent the ball into the net. In the 37th minute, Kahvedžić cut one pass in the opponent’s half and scored his second goal for 4:0. The final 5:0 was set by Bilal Jelić in the last minute of the match, assisted by Marin Sesar.

After four rounds, B&H is first in the group with a maximum of 12 points ahead of Serbia, which won 5, and Romania and Northern Macedonia with two points each.
