The invitation of the head coach Ilija Lucić for UEFA EURO 2022 was also given to the goalkeeper of SFK 2000 Sarajevo, Iman Dumanjić.

“For me, it is first and foremost an honour to have the privilege of being a national team player of my country, and as an athlete it means a lot to me to be part of a team that will participate in a big competition. It is an even greater honour that we are the hosts of the EURO, that we have been trusted by UEFA and I am sure that we will respond to the task in the best way possible”, said Dumanjić and commented on the team’s physical condition:

“I have been ready when coming to these preparations. I am in good shape, as are the other players. I am sure that we will show it on the pitch and that we will be ready to enter the European Championship.”

Iman Dumanjić believes that the BH national team can make good results at the European Championship:

“This team is of high quality, we have good potential in attack and defence, and I think we can stand shoulder to shoulder with any national team. Opponents are good, but we go bravely and we can deal with everyone. In the first round of qualifications, we have already met with Germany, which is with us in the group again. They won, but we played great against them in the second half, we were equal and if we repeat such a game, we can hope for good results.”

Our national team player also called on the fans to support BH female cadets:

“We expect the fans to support us, to come in large numbers, and we will certainly be more motivated and better on the pitch with them.”
