Representatives of the BH FF met today in the City Hall of the City of Mostar with the Mayor Mario Kordić and the President of the City Council Salem Marić.
The topic of conversation was the organization of the European Football Championship for female cadets, players under the age of 17, which would be held from 3rd to 15th May 2022 in four cities: Mostar, Široki Brijeg, Zenica and Sarajevo.
Eight teams will participate in the UEFA Women's Under-17 Championships. The only known participant is the host national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the other seven participants will be known after the second round of qualifications, which will be held across the Europe from 10th to 30th March.
For the first time, Bosnia and Herzegovina was given the opportunity to organize one big football competition under the auspices of UEFA. From 3rd to 15th May 2022, the Women's Under-17 European Championship will be held in four cities.
The Spanish national team is the second most successful national team in the history of the competition with four titles (2010, 2011, 2015 and 2018). This will be their 11th participation in the final tournaments, and in the previous 10 appearances they have passed the group stage each time. In addition to four championship titles, they have four second and one third place.
The French national team is participating in the final tournament of the European Cadet Championship for the eighth time. The greatest successes were achieved in 2008, 2011, and 2012, when they won second place, and in 2009 they were third.
