The final between the two most successful teams in the history of the competition lived up to expectations. Spain controlled possession for most of the match and created the better scoring opportunities, while Germany defended resolutely, with goalkeeper Janne Krumme producing several outstanding saves to keep her team in the game.

The decisive moment came in the 60th minute. Following a corner kick, Spain captain Irune Dorado reacted quickest inside the penalty area and finished clinically to score what proved to be the winning goal.

Germany pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages but failed to seriously threaten the Spanish goal, as Spain held on to secure another deserved European crown.

This year's UEFA Women's Under-19 EURO, held in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 27 June to 10 July, brought together Europe's eight best national teams. Over the course of two weeks, 16 matches were played at Grbavica and Asim Ferhatović Hase Stadiums in Sarajevo, as well as Bilino Polje Stadium and the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina Training Centre in Zenica. The tournament was played in an excellent atmosphere and once again confirmed Bosnia and Herzegovina's ability to successfully meet UEFA's high organisational standards.

In addition to showcasing outstanding football and many talented young players who represent the future of the women's game in Europe, the championship also served as an important promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a host of major international sporting events.
