Another national team has secured qualification for the UEFA Women’s Under-19 European Championship – Sweden, three-time European champions (1999, 2012, 2015). This will be their 12th appearance at the final tournament.
Sweden finished first in Group A5 with seven points, ahead of the Netherlands with six, Italy with four and Ukraine with no points.
Group A5 matches were played in Sweden, and the home side managed to take advantage of playing on home soil to secure their place among Europe’s best women’s youth national teams.
