The opening event in the capital brought together a large number of children, young people, and football fans, who had the opportunity to take part in the event through interactive zones and sports activities, see the trophy up close, take photos with it, and experience part of the atmosphere of the major tournament that is coming soon. Seven days later, the trophy continued its journey to Posušje, where more than 150 children enjoyed football magic through play and educational activities.
Through interactive stations and sports activities, participants have the opportunity to actively take part in the events, while a special feature is the activity card through which they can collect stamps and win sports equipment in the fan zones during the championship matches. Participants of the UEFA Playmakers programme also took an active part in this event. The programme aims to promote football among girls up to the age of 8 through education and social activities with the help of favourite Disney and Pixar characters.
The UEFA Women’s Under-19 European Championship represents one of the most important competitions in women’s football in Europe, bringing together the best young national teams and the future stars of the sport. Through the Trophy Tour, this event is being brought closer to local communities, with the aim of inspiring a new generation of girls to get involved in sport and take their first steps on the pitch.
