In the group's top clash, played at the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina Training Centre in Zenica, Germany defeated Sweden 2-0 to finish top of the group with seven points. Germany took the lead in the 12th minute through Laila Portella, who converted a penalty, while Maj Schneider sealed the victory with a goal in the 64th minute.
Despite the defeat, Sweden finished second in the group with six points and also progressed to the last four.
At Grbavica Stadium in Sarajevo, Poland defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 5-1 to finish third in the group with four points. Weronika Araśniewicz scored twice, finding the net in the 9th and 44th minutes, while Lena Świrska added two more goals in the 21st and 73rd minutes. Zuzanna Witek completed the scoring in the 82nd minute, while Natalija Mirković scored Bosnia and Herzegovina's only goal in the 70th minute.
Jelena Milović's side concluded their first appearance at the UEFA Women's Under-19 EURO finals without a point, but with invaluable experience gained against Europe's strongest national teams. Qualifying for the final tournament itself represents a significant boost for the development of women's youth football in Bosnia and Herzegovina and an important step forward for the country's young national team players.
The semi-final pairings will be confirmed after the completion of the Group B matches, which are scheduled for tomorrow.
