Una Rankić: A Symbol of Growth, Talent, Hard Work and Continuity

Four years ago, at the UEFA Women’s Under-17 European Championship held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Una Rankić made her first official appearance in the national team jersey at a major tournament as the youngest member of the squad.

Today, four years later, one of the most talented players of her generation and a member of Swiss club Basel, will lead the Bosnia and Herzegovina women’s U-19 national team as captain at another major tournament once again hosted in our country. 🇧🇦

Her story is a symbol of growth, talent, hard work, and the continuity that women’s football in Bosnia and Herzegovina has gained year after year. As the world record holder and the youngest debutant in the history of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team, Una is already an inspiration for many young girls dreaming of one day playing for their country.

From a young girl gaining experience on the big stage to the leader of a generation representing the future of Bosnian and Herzegovinian football, Una’s journey shows how important major tournaments are for the development of young players and how dreams can become reality through hard work, belief, and dedication.
